Features of stainless steel medical trolleys

Stainless steel medical trolleys are widely used in many industries, and are commonly used in the catering and medical industries. They are made of stainless steel, because of the advantages it can offer. It is a metal manufactured with steel and chromium, and this makes it virtually rustproof, although it is not completely tarnish proof.

Catering and medical trolleys are manufactured from high grade stainless steel, and electro-polished to provide a bright finish and sterile properties, ideal for catering and medical purposes. These trolleys are available in a wide range, and usually have two or more shelves fixed within a frame, and are made mobile using wheels or casters mounted on the leg ends. • High quality steel makes them ideal for most catering needs
  • They are easy to manoeuvre and equipped with four casters
  • Two-wheel brakes
  • Hygienic – easy to clean and sterilize
  • They can be fully welded

These trolleys are available in various types and sizes and a typical trolley will have the approximate dimensions: Height 850mm: Width 450mm: Length 900mm (approx). Other types of trolleys are also available and may include heavy duty trolleys, which are designed for greater durability.

They are widely used in medical and catering industries due to their durable, hygienic, easy to clean and long-lasting properties. The heavy-duty medical trolleys are usually made from 304 quality stainless steel with a glossy brushed finish. Most units have a 2mm thick worktop mounted on 40mm square tube framing, and 100mm diameter stainless steel casters complete with non-marking tyres. This type of trolley is capable of handling a load of 150 kg or more.
